If you live to be a hundred,
I want to live to be
a hundred minus one day,
so I never have to live
without you.
-- Winnie the Pooh
(March 5th, 1995 - December 23rd, 2004)
McNeil Labradors, located in the Piedmont Region of
North Carolina is a small kennel and hobby breeder
founded in 1993, consisting of well bred, quality, English
lines. Breeding management is well-defined with emphasis on
breed research and dedication toward improving, preserving, and protecting
the Labrador Breed from indiscriminate and unethical breeding. My breeding
goals and initiatives are based on producing puppies with outstanding
genetic qualities of health, with kind, and loving temperaments. I strive
to enhance and maintain a high degree of intelligence trainability for
obedience and therapy, and overall versatility from show ring conformation
to a day at the hunt. My dogs are loyal companions with wonderful
temperaments. Through continuous work and progress, McNeil puppies
provide a special gift to visually impaired as well as assistance through
"service dog" organizations to children and adults with disabling conditions.
McNeil puppies are currently participating in "Puppies Behind Bars" which
provides constant social interaction, manners, and obedience training necessary
to become a service dog. Puppies in prison programs also provide the
unconditional love for inmates as well as teaching a skill that they can take
back to the public sector -
the ability to provide a gift of light in a world of darkness. |
